The Action Arm
The
Action Arm is a therapeutic and rehabilitative device designed in
conjunction with occupational and physical therapists. The device aids
in rehabilitation of motor impaired 
patients by providing adjustable
resistance, repetition, accuracy measurement and kinesthetic feedback.
The Action Arm will assist motor impaired individuals in developing
fine, medium and gross motor movements, develop eye/hand coordination,
strengthen muscles and improve wrist/finger dexterity. The Action Arm is
specifically designed to improve motor skills, such as writing. However,
it can also be used by patients when eating, performing craft activities
and vocational tasks. For patients with tremors or other neuromuscular
disabilities, the Action Arm will dampen spastic movement and assist in
controlling tremors. The Action Arm may also be used in special
education programs or at home for patients with motor learning
disabilities.
